Cleaning a painted facade in Amsterdam means cleaning the paint layer, not the brick beneath it. The aim is for the colour to look bright again without any paint disappearing. How we do it
We start with a tape test: a strip of sticky tape pressed firmly onto the paint and pulled off in one go. If paint comes away with it, adhesion is too weak for water under pressure and we use a soft brush there. On well-bonded paint we let the product dwell briefly and rinse with a fan spray from a distance.
