What you need as a self-employed cleaner with Claro Clean

You work independently, but at the customer's you represent Claro Clean. That is why we ask for this before you start.

KvK registration as a sole trader or company
Business liability insurance (AVB)
At least 2 years of experience in homes, offices or hotels
A VOG certificate of conduct, or willing to apply for one
Your own transport within your region
Good Dutch; English brings you more jobs
A smartphone with a camera for the photos on every job

How we work on every job

Before you leave you read the notes: what is included, access, pets and products
On arrival, photos of every room. If it is much dirtier than agreed, report it before you start; we call the customer
You work through the task list for the service, the same one the customer accepted
If the customer asks for something extra, you pass it to us. You never negotiate the price yourself
If something breaks, a photo and a message straight away
When you finish, photos from the same angle. They protect you too if there is a complaint

Self-employed means running a business

This is not a salaried job. As a zzp'er you decide which jobs you take, you work with your own equipment and you may work for others too. That also means setting tax aside yourself, arranging your own insurance and getting no sick pay. If that suits you, we offer work for the long term.

Building dust, paint splashes and sealant residue. Physical work with clear agreements.

Offices

Regular contracts outside office hours.

Upholstery cleaning

Sofas, mattresses and carpets with your own extraction machine. Experience only.

Questions about working as a self-employed cleaner

Is this a job vacancy?
No, it is not a salaried vacancy. You work as a zzp'er, accept jobs and invoice Claro Clean for what you did.
What does a job pay?
It depends on the service and the region. We explain the fee on the introductory call, before you accept a job.
Do I need a KvK registration?
Yes, before your first job. If you do not have one yet, say so in the form; on the call we tell you what to arrange.
What about VAT?
Cleaning inside an occupied home falls under the reduced 9% VAT rate, offices and outdoor work under 21%. If your turnover stays under the small business scheme (KOR) threshold, you can apply for exemption. Check with your accountant.
Can I work for other clients too?
Yes. We ask for no exclusivity. We only ask that you do not offer your own services directly to customers we send you.
