What if the sealant is already completely black?
Then we first check whether cleaning still achieves anything. If the mould has truly soaked into the sealant, a grey line stays behind however hard it is scrubbed. We tell you that honestly, and at that point a new bead is the answer. Replacing sealant falls outside our cleaning work.
Do I need to take time off work for the bathroom job?
Not necessarily, as long as we can get in. You can hand over a key or have someone let us in. Leave the bathroom door open for a while afterwards and run the extractor if there is one, so the room can dry out properly.
How do I keep the bathroom clean for longer afterwards?
Nobody can promise it stays away while the cause is still there. In general it helps to ventilate after showering, squeegee the tiles and dry wet towels somewhere else. If it comes back quickly despite all that, the cause runs deeper than habits alone.
