Should I try to remove the mould myself first?
Better not. Bleach or a household product sometimes only discolours the mould, so it looks less visible but is not gone. It can also damage paint or wallpaper. Leave the spot as it is, then we can see exactly what needs doing on the video and on site.
What should I take out of the room?
Anything small, fragile or made of fabric near the spots: cushions, clothes, papers and plants. Large furniture can stay. If in doubt, put it in another room for a while, so we do not have to work around it.
Do pets need to leave the room?
Yes please, while we work. The products are safe for pets, but a curious dog or cat among dust sheets and a ladder is not practical for them or for us. Another room with the door shut is enough, and once the room has been aired they can come back in.
