What should I do with the shower curtain?
A fabric curtain can often just go in the washing machine, check the label. A plastic curtain with black edges at the bottom is usually better replaced. Pull the curtain fully open after showering, so it dries faster than when it hangs bunched up in folds.
Where is the best place for bottles and soap?
Ideally in a rack where water can drain away, and not directly on the bath edge or in the shower corner. Under a bottle that always stands in the same place a wet ring remains, and mould likes to start there. Fewer items in the shower also makes cleaning easier.
How often should the bath mat be washed?
Hang it over the edge or a rack after each use so it can dry, and wash it regularly. A bath mat lying wet on the floor all day keeps the room humid and soon smells musty itself. A mat that dries quickly is more practical than a thick one.
