Mattress cleaning in Hilversum

Many people have a mattress cleaned in Hilversum after washing the cover and finding it was not enough. The cover comes out of the machine fresh, but once it is back on the smell returns and the old stains show through again within a few weeks.

What is included

  • Cleaning the core underneath the removable cover
  • Treatment of stains that come back from the filling
  • Advice on washing the cover according to its label
  • Enough drying time before the cover goes back on
  • A check of the zip and seams where dirt builds up

How we do it

A removable cover is only the outer layer. Sweat and moisture passed through it long ago into the foam or fibre layer beneath, and that is where the source is. We clean that core, and the cover only goes back on once everything is completely dry.

What you get

Your cleaner is vetted and insured and brings the equipment to treat the core without soaking the foam. We use eco-friendly products, and if the result disappoints within 48 hours, we come back.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

I washed the cover, so why does it still smell?
Because the source is in the core. Sweat and moisture pass through the cover into the foam, and a clean cover on a dirty core smells the same again after a few nights.
Can the cover just go in the washing machine?
Always check the label. Some covers can go in the machine on a low temperature, others shrink or lose their shape and no longer fit.
How long should I wait before putting the cover back on?
Until the core is completely dry, inside as well. A cover around a damp core traps the moisture, and that gives you a musty smell.
