Why does the cupboard under the sink smell musty?
Often because a trap once leaked, or damp has soaked into the base panel. We clean and dry the cupboard and check whether it gets wet again. If the trap is leaking or the base panel has swollen we report it, because that is not cleaning work.
What is an aerator and why do you clean it?
The small mesh in the spout of the tap that mixes air into the water. Limescale and grit build up in it and make the stream splash. We unscrew it, descale it and put it back, so the tap runs smoothly again.
Can a black silicone seam turn white again?
If the dirt sits on the silicone, a mild product and a soft brush make it much lighter. If mould has grown into the silicone itself, only new sealant helps, and we tell you so before you assume it was forgotten.
