Why does my boot smell when I can see nothing?
Because liquid has run under the floor panel and is sitting in the spare wheel well. The top is dry, but the source lies underneath, and you only find it once you lift the floor out.
What do I do first after a bottle breaks in the car?
Take the large shards out wearing gloves and blot up the liquid, but do not use your own vacuum. Small splinters sit deep in the felt, and we search those out by hand before the machine goes over it.
How do I prevent this in future?
