Can you not just go over the grease?
No. The product reacts with the grease and is spent before it reaches the surface. The result is a clean-looking bench whose treatment achieved nothing.
Why rinse between the two steps?
Because the degreaser itself also stays on the surface and can react with the disinfectant. Rinsing between takes ten minutes and it is the only way the second step does what it should.
What happens to the dirty water?
With oil and coolant we contain it and take it away. It may not simply go into the drains, and that is not an extra service but the only lawful way to do this work.
