If it releases with a click or a button, we take it off and treat it separately. If it is screwed on, we leave it in place. We never take a chair further apart than its user could, so nothing sits differently afterwards.
Will the grey edge on the headrest go completely?
It usually gets a good deal lighter. Hair gel and oil that have sat in the fabric for a long time can leave a shadow, especially on light fabric. Based on your video we tell you beforehand what you can reasonably expect.
Does a mesh headrest get the same treatment?
No. Mesh holds less grease but lets moisture straight through. We brush it with little moisture and vacuum it from both sides, instead of rinsing it the way we would an upholstered headrest.
