Do old sweat marks come out completely?
Not always. A mark that has sat in the fabric a long time can have discoloured the fibre itself, and that colour is no longer dirt. We get most of the salt and grease out, and what might remain often shows already in the video.
Why do I get a ring when I try it myself?
Because you wet the mark and push the dirt outwards. Where the water stops, the dissolved salt and grease dry, and that is where the ring forms. The only way to avoid it is to rinse the whole seat evenly and extract it again.
How do I keep sweat marks at bay afterwards?
Vacuum the seat and backrest now and then, so dust does not stick to the grease, because that combination is what darkens a mark. If you are choosing new chairs, a mesh back breathes better than a densely upholstered one.
