Can a lacquered floor be done?
Usually yes, provided the lacquer is still closed. A layer some years old has hairline cracks and the product draws through them without anything showing on top. That is why we test first.
Does a floor actually need disinfecting?
Rarely. A floor is not touched by hands, so cleaning is usually enough. Only where a specification explicitly requires it is disinfecting the floor worthwhile.
What if the product is already in the floor?
Nothing can be done; wood does not release it. That is precisely why we lift rather than let it dry, and why in doubt we skip the floor.
