Why do the armrests get dirty faster than the seat?
Because bare skin rests there. Forearms and hands leave skin oil, and synthetic fabric holds that better than dirt from clothing. On the seat there is usually a pair of trousers between you and the fabric, which stops most of it.
Does a polyester armchair dry faster than a cotton one?
Yes, usually clearly faster, because polyester itself hardly absorbs water. The moisture sits mainly between the fibres and in the filling, and extraction pulls most of that back out. The thickness of the seat cushion still plays a part.
Do oil stains from food come out of polyester?
Fresh oil and butter stains usually lift well with a grease-dissolving product. A stain that has been there a long time and attracted dirt gets lighter but may keep a shadow. Show it on the video and we will say what to expect.
