Armchair cleaning in Terneuzen

Anyone booking armchair cleaning in Terneuzen for a family heirloom is really asking one thing: can this chair look fresher without changing? It can, as long as the pace and the products suit upholstery that has lasted generations and cannot be bought again.

What is included

  • A test on a hidden patch of the old upholstery first
  • Crumbs and dust lifted out of the deep seat and back seams
  • A mild product and little moisture on fragile older fabric
  • Wooden arm rails and feet shielded from the product
  • Loose buttons and piping checked before we begin

How we do it

On an old armchair we move from gentle to stronger and stop the moment the fabric reacts. The soft brush goes over it first, then we test under the seat or on the back, and only when the colour holds there do the visible parts get treated. An heirloom is better off with two light passes than one heavy one.

What you get

You get a trained, insured and vetted specialist who does not rush a chair full of memories. He brings his own equipment and uses products that do no harm to children or pets. If we spot a seam that will not hold, you hear about it before anything gets wet.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

Will cleaning change the colour of an old armchair?
It usually looks brighter, because a grey film of grime comes off. Fading from years of daylight does not come back, since it sits in the fibre itself. That is why we test a hidden spot first, so you see what the fabric does beforehand.
Can an heirloom be too fragile to clean?
Sometimes, and then we say so plainly. If the fabric is worn thin or tears when touched, cleaning solves nothing and an upholsterer is the better choice. We can often judge that from your video already.
What happens to the wooden frame?
We shield it and keep it as dry as we can, because product and moisture can dull wax or lacquer. We do not treat the wood itself: our focus is the upholstery, and the frame stays exactly as it is.
