No. Flaking means the plastic top layer is coming away from the backing, and that is wear no cleaning repairs. We clean the armchair and take care at those spots so it does not progress faster, but it will not go away.
Why are the arms of my faux leather armchair sticky?
Because skin oil, sweat and sometimes sunscreen or hand cream build up on the surface. That layer also attracts dust again. A mild degreasing product removes it without leaving the faux leather feeling dry or stiff afterwards.
Does faux leather need conditioning like real leather?
