How do I know whether my bouclé armchair is wool?
Check the composition on the label. If it is not there, wool often feels slightly warmer and drier and smells faintly of wool when damp. We confirm it with a test on a hidden spot, so you do not need to know for sure.
Why are grease marks on polyester bouclé so stubborn?
Synthetic fibres attract grease and hold on to it, while water seems to slide off. A watery product alone therefore does not get it out. We use a product that loosens grease, but a mark that has sat in the loops for a long time does not always become fully invisible.
Is wool bouclé harder to keep clean?
Not necessarily. Wool naturally resists dirt fairly well and hides it well. It does need more care when cleaning: no hot cloth, no scrubbing and only blotting a spill. Regular gentle vacuuming does most of the work.
