Why is aniline leather so sensitive?
Because it is only dyed through and has no protective top coat. That makes it feel very natural, but it also absorbs skin oil, water and stains immediately. It needs the mildest products and above all little moisture.
Can dark marks come out of aniline leather?
A grease mark that has soaked into aniline leather often gets lighter but not always fully invisible, because the grease is in the hide rather than on it. We do not promise it disappears and tell you what is realistic after seeing the video.
Is pigmented leather less beautiful or lower quality?
No, it is simply different. The colour coat makes it tougher against daily use, stains and light, which is why you see it a lot on armchairs used intensively. It is easier to keep clean, but it still needs conditioning.
