Can a pattern with several colours run?
It can, if one of the yarns is not properly colourfast. That is why we test each colour separately on a hidden spot. If a colour runs, we work that pattern much drier or with a dry cleaning solvent only.
Does cleaning make old wool weaker?
Not if we take it slowly. It is actually the dust and grit in the wool that wear the fibres from the inside with every use. Removing that is good for the fabric. We do avoid stiff brushes, heat and a lot of water.
Will old stains in a vintage armchair disappear completely?
Stains that have been in the wool for years have often set in the fibre and get lighter but not invisible. A clean does make the whole chair fresher, so such a stain stands out less. From the video we can usually judge what is achievable.
