Why must the valve go back at the same setting?
Because the airflow per room was commissioned when the house was handed over. A valve opened or closed further changes the balance across the system and somewhere else starts to draught or smell stale.
Can you clean the ventilation ducts?
No, only the valves themselves, not the duct behind them. Duct cleaning needs specialist equipment and is a separate service; we tell you when we see it is needed.
