How often should a carbon filter be replaced?
With daily cooking roughly every six months to a year. A saturated filter catches nothing and the hood then spreads the grease around the kitchen. We tell you when we see it has got to that point.
Why does my living room smell of cooking?
Because the aerosol does not go outside but stays in the room and draws into the textiles. While the hood recirculates on an old filter the smell simply returns after every clean.
