They say what the fabric tolerates, for example cleaning with water, only with a dry product or vacuuming only. We check that before doing anything, and if only dry cleaning is allowed, we work dry.
Does bouclé go fluffy from cleaning?
Not if it is done properly. We vacuum with a soft nozzle, do not rub the loops and use little moisture. Loops that are already felted or pulled out will not look good again from cleaning.
My design chair has no label left, can you still clean it?
Then we look for the model name or the manufacturer and always test on a hidden spot. In that case, send a close-up video of the fabric, so we can say something about it in advance.
