Armchair cleaning in Bussum
Cleaning an antique buttoned armchair in Bussum takes patience around every button. In the deep pleats where the fabric runs into the button, dust gathers that a normal vacuum cannot reach, and a loose button can come away entirely if pulled the wrong way.
What is included
- Test on a hidden spot before the chair is treated
- Pleats around every tufted button brushed out
- Buttons checked and loose ones reported to you
- Dust vacuumed from deep pleats with a small nozzle
- Wooden decorative frame kept dry and not polished
How we do it
We first brush each pleat outwards and vacuum straight after. Only once the test on a hidden spot is good do we clean the areas between the buttons with very little moisture. We never pull on the buttons themselves, and no water goes into the pleats.
What you get
Our specialist is trained, insured and vetted and brings fine brushes and eco-friendly products. They do not reupholster or fix buttons, but they will point them out, so you can ask an upholsterer to look at them.
