How we do it
We never put mesh under a wet extractor. There is no foam behind it to catch the water, so it runs straight to the edge where the mesh is clamped into the frame and dries there as a grey line. So we brush the mesh with a lightly dampened brush and vacuum it from both sides. An upholstered seat does get the full rinse.
