Because a cloth with an all-purpose cleaner moves the grease and adds a thin layer of product. Over time that combination turns tacky and attracts dust. We remove that layer rather than adding another.
Can you repair a cracked top layer?
That falls outside our work, since we neither repair nor reupholster. Peeling faux leather is cleaned carefully around the damage so it does not flake further, and we point out beforehand which chairs are that far gone.
How often is this needed in hospitality?
That depends on how busy it is and how the daily wiping is done. When the sheen dulls and the seams go grey, it is time. You see it first where guests rest their arms.
