Can cracked faux leather look good again?
No. Once the top coat is cracking or peeling, the damage sits in the material itself and cleaning does not change it. We do not do repairs or reupholstering. We can still clean the rest of the chair so it looks as good as it can.
Why does my faux leather chair feel sticky?
Usually it is a film of skin oil, sweat and leftover cleaning products that builds up on the surface over time. We dissolve that film with a mild product and buff it away dry, after which the surface feels smooth again.
What can I use myself between cleans?
A soft cloth, lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap is plenty. Dry it off afterwards. Avoid alcohol, bleach-based all-purpose cleaners and scouring pads, because they leave the top coat dull and brittle.
