Can wool upholstery shrink from cleaning?
Yes, if the work is too hot or too wet or if you rub hard. That is why we work lukewarm, with little moisture and without pressure. With that approach the fabric stays as it was.
Why does wool smell different for a while when wet?
Wet wool has its own slightly animal smell, and that is normal. Once the fabric is completely dry the smell goes again. It is not a sign that anything went wrong.
Can I treat stains on wool myself?
Blot a fresh stain with a dry cloth and perhaps a little cold water. Avoid ordinary stain removers with enzymes or bleach, since they can damage wool. If unsure, best leave it until we arrive.
