Yes, but dry. We brush and vacuum dust and crumbs out of the wickerwork and wipe it lightly where that is safe. We do not wet-clean it, because cane does not cope well with that.
What if there are broken bits in the wickerwork?
Then we work very carefully around them, so it does not unravel further. We do not repair, so broken cane stays broken. We let you know when we come across it.
Will the different parts look equally good?
Each part gets as clean as its material allows. The fabric gets the most thorough treatment, rattan and wood stay dry. Together the chair looks cared for again, without one part suffering for another.
