Usually yes, especially if nobody has rubbed it. We let it harden, take most of it off dry and then treat the rest. A coloured candle can leave a hint of colour that does not fully disappear.
What do you do with chewing gum?
We harden it and break it loose without pulling the fibres along. Whatever remains in the fabric is treated with a product that dissolves the residue. A light mark can stay where it sat for a long time.
Is it wise to have them cleaned after every party?
After every party is usually not needed. It is wise to do it before stains from several events pile up, because a fresh stain is far easier than one that is months old.
