Why is my faux leather sofa sticky after a leather cream?
Because faux leather absorbs nothing. The cream stays on top, attracts dust and feels tacky. We remove that layer with a mild product, after which the sofa feels dry and smooth again.
Is faux leather easier to look after?
Day to day it is, as a damp cloth is enough and no cream is needed. The drawback is that it cannot be cared for as it ages. Real leather asks for more attention, but with that attention it also lasts longer.
