Why does my sofa feel sticky when nothing was spilled?
That is often cooking grease that drifted through the room in tiny droplets and settled on the fabric. It is thin, so you cannot see it, but you can feel it and it holds dust. A degreasing treatment removes that layer.
Does the cooker hood help prevent this?
Yes, if it runs during and after cooking and the filter is clean. A hood that only recirculates catches less grease than one venting outside. A window slightly open while frying helps as well.
Does the smell of frying come out completely?
