Why not clean on the day before the handover?
You can, but then you have less room to check and get anything put right before the buyer arrives. Two days before gives you the full guarantee period and a house that barely gets dirty in that time.
Is damage covered by the guarantee?
The guarantee is about the cleaning: something that should have been clean and is not. A scratch, damage or something already broken is not covered, because that is not cleaning work. Our cleaners are insured, though.
