For retail cleaning in Amsterdam the fitting rooms get a round of their own with us, separate from the shop floor. It is a small space with a curtain or small door, a bench, a hook and a mirror, and customers leave all sorts behind: hairs, pins, tags, fluff from new clothing and sometimes a coffee cup.

What is included

  • Left-behind pins, labels and tags cleared away
  • Bench or stool wiped, including the underside
  • Hooks, clothes rail and partition walls made grease-free
  • The bottom edge of the curtain or small door cleaned
  • The floor in the corners and under the bench vacuumed and mopped

How we do it

Each fitting room gets a fixed order: first clear out what does not belong, then hooks and walls, then the mirror, then the bench and finally the floor. We draw the curtain fully open, because hair and dust collect exactly in the corner behind it. Afterwards we draw it back neatly the way you like it.

What you get

The work is done by a trained, insured and vetted cleaner you see again and again. Clothes hangers and left clothing go back on the rack by the fitting rooms and are never thrown away. We bring all materials ourselves, and the products are safe for people and animals.

Everything you need to know

What do you do with clothing left in a fitting room?
We hang it or lay it on the agreed rack or on the counter. We do not fold and do not put anything back in the shop, because you decide where an item belongs. Only obvious rubbish such as tags and pins goes in the bag.
Are fitting room curtains washed as well?
Washing the curtain itself is not part of the normal visit. We vacuum the fabric and clean the bottom edge, where it gets dirty first. If you want the curtain cleaned periodically, we can quote that separately.
Can the fitting rooms be done more often than the rest of the shop?
Yes. In a busy week or during the sales, fitting rooms get messy much faster than the floor. We can schedule the fitting rooms an extra time without the whole shop having to be done again.
