Carpet cleaning in Amsterdam
Fringes are often the part of carpet cleaning in Amsterdam that customers look at first and we spend longest on. They are usually cotton while the rug itself is wool, so two materials on one rug, and they grey, yellow and tangle in their own way.
What is included
- Fringes treated separately from the pile of the rug
- A product suited to cotton rather than to wool
- Combed out by hand, thread by thread in one direction
- Yellow or brown discolouration assessed before anything goes on
- Laid flat and straight to dry so they do not curl
How we do it
We lay the fringes on a clean cloth beside the rug and work them by hand, because a machine pulls threads loose or twists them together. Cotton takes a different product from the wool next to it. After rinsing we comb them out in one direction and let them dry flat.
What you get
Fringes need patience, and our trained, insured and vetted professionals give them that. They bring their own products and tools, eco-friendly and safe for children and animals. When your rug is due again, the same professional does it.
