Does my loft have to be empty?
Completely empty is not necessary, but the more that is stored the less floor we can do. Group together what you can easily move and we work around it, leaving you a clean floor.
Why a fine-filter vacuum?
Because loft dust is finer than house dust and often contains insulation fibre. An ordinary vacuum blows that back into the room through the motor, and then you have moved the problem rather than removed it.
Do you clean the insulation too?
No, we stay clear of it. Vacuuming glass or mineral wool damages the layer and puts fibres into the air. If the insulation is loose or open we report it so you can have it sealed.
