Will the brown ring in my toilet bowl come off?
Usually, yes. That ring is limescale with dirt trapped in it, and with a descaler and enough dwell time it loosens. If a hard layer has built up over years, it may take two rounds. If the glaze itself is damaged, a discolouration remains that cleaning cannot remove.
Why does the toilet smell even though it looks clean?
Often the smell sits in the sealant around the base or in the joint between pan and floor, where urine can soak in. We tackle that spot separately. If it still smells afterwards, the sealant itself is saturated and replacing it is the only real fix.
Do you clean a wall-hung toilet differently from a floor-standing one?
