Do flattened ribs stand up again?
Ribs pressed down by dirt and weight often rise a little after cleaning and brushing. Where the pile has genuinely worn away, usually on the arms, it does not come back. We show you that beforehand.
Why do I see stripes after scrubbing it myself?
Most likely the fabric was rubbed across or in circles. The ribs then lie in different directions and catch the light differently. Lightly dampening again and brushing in one direction usually removes it.
Can I vacuum corduroy with a normal nozzle?
Preferably not with a hard nozzle, because it presses the ribs flat. Use the soft brush attachment and vacuum along the stripes. Do that regularly and far less stays in the channels until the next clean.
