Does more water not make a sofa cleaner?
No. The dirt sits in the fabric and short passes reach it well. Extra water sinks into the filling, stays there and can later cause discolouration or a musty smell.
What is that yellow haze after a clean?
It is usually dirt from the filling that rose with the moisture and dried at the surface. It is a sign the sofa was too wet. A short follow-up treatment often removes it again.
Do you work with hot water?
We use lukewarm water that suits the fabric. Hot water can set protein stains, felt wool and make some fabrics bleed colour. So warmer is not automatically better.
