Does salt help on a wine stain?
Salt draws up some of the liquid, but it scours the fibre and often leaves a grey or white ring. Better to blot with cold water and a clean cloth, then stop. Leave the rest to us so we are not also working against the home remedy.
Can an old wine stain still come out?
Sometimes largely, sometimes a faint trace remains. A wine stain that has sat for months or already met bleach is not one we promise to remove fully. After testing on the spot itself we tell you what is realistic before carrying on.
Is a light fabric with wine a bigger risk?
The stain shows more, but the approach is the same. The difference lies in how carefully we dose the product, because on a light fabric an overly strong one shows up sooner as a pale patch. So we always test on a hidden area first.
