How can I tell whether a patch is dirt or wear?
Dirt sits on the fibre and often feels greasy, sticky or shiny. Wear is a spot where the fibre is thinner, the pile has gone or the weave pills. If in doubt, film it close up and we will tell you.
Will a sagging seat become firm again?
No. A sagging seat has tired foam or worn springs, and that is a job for an upholsterer. We clean the fabric and the filling, but that does not bring the spring back.
Why do some spots look worse afterwards?
Because dirt forms an even grey layer that hides differences. Once it is gone you see again where the fabric is worn or faded. We point out such spots beforehand so it does not catch you by surprise.
