Better not. Salt can actually fix the dye and leaves a ring of its own, and white wine only adds more liquid and sugar. Blot up as much as you can with a dry, white cloth and leave the rest for us.
Does a red wine stain always come out?
A fresh stain on colourfast fabric often lifts well. On light or non-colourfast fabric, or if warm water went on it, a pink or grey trace may stay. We tell you that beforehand.
Can you come at short notice for a fresh stain?
We always check what fits in the schedule, and we are keen to fit a fresh stain in as quickly as possible. Mention in your request that it is a fresh spill and we will take that into account.
