Should I air the chair first?
Please do. Put it in a dry, ventilated space for a few days before we come, not in full sun. Some of the moisture will already be gone and the clean works better.
What if the smell comes back after drying?
Then the damp or mould sits deeper in the filling than cleaning can reach. Tell us within 48 hours and we look again. Sometimes the honest advice is that the filling needs replacing, and that is an upholsterer’s job.
